First time racing? Here are some beginner tips:
Apparel
- Wear comfortable, lightweight clothes (like spandex or lyrcra) - baggy clothes or cotton can chafe
- Most cyclists wear padded cycling bibs or shorts
- You'll heat up as you ride. Dress in layers that are easy to remove.
Fuel
- Water and food are essential on long bike rides! - eat and drink even if you don't feel hungry or thirsty
- Bring two full cycling water bottles (most bikes have 2 water bottle cages)
- Bring energy bars, gels, chews, or powder for your water
Bike
- The best type of bike for the Classic is a road bike (e-bikes are allowed)
- If it's painful to bike, check out these tips for bike adjustment
- Don't have a bike? Rent from a local bike shop or BYU Outdoor Unlimited
Safety
- Helmets are required!
- Ride with traffic, not on the sidewalk
- Aero bars are discouraged
- Have more questions? Check out Utah cycling laws

Great ride on low traffic well maintained roads
Had a great ride! It's a beautiful course along the south side of the lake and there's very little traffic until the last few miles. Thanks for a pleasant experience!

Superlatives Don’t Do Justice
Very well organized and supported event. I really enjoyed this race/ride and plan on doing it annually. Thank you for providing this.
Fun Event
It was well organized and the food afterwards was great. Super nice folks helping out. The finish was a little sketchy with the potholes and short turn but since it wasn't a "race", it's all good. I'd recommend it to everyone. And thanks to the folks at Wavetronix Move for putting it on.
Springville, UT Weather
Last year the weather condition was Partly cloudy.
